Trying to decide where to have your wedding in the Pacific Northwest?
It can seem like there is an overwhelming amount of amazing Portland wedding venues (it’s because there are), especially for intimate weddings and elopements, but I’ve got you! I’ve compiled a list of some of my very favorite wedding venues in Oregon (and a few in Washington) that show off the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I’ve shot at most of these locations and this list is being updated regularly.

Columbia River Gorge
I can’t say enough about the unreal views, lovely staff, and space that the owner Marlow and her team of the Griffin house has created. There’s no shortage of rooms to hang out and get ready in, so much yummy window light, which is always a big selling point for me, and the grounds offer a variety of settings and sweet nooks to take in.
Mt Hood Organic Farms

Part of the famous Fruit Loop, Mt Hood Organic Farms is situated at the Base of Mt Hood, has seasonal flowers blooming just about year around, and is a straight up treat. The indoor spaces provide so much variety and charm. Mt Hood Organic Farms is Biodynamic certified, growing a huge portion of the US’s pear supply.
OK, so all that’s awesome but I’m starting to feel like I’m writing you a book report. Go have to go look for yourself!
This may be the most underrated hidden gem along the Columbia River Gorge. It’s stationed overlooking the Columbia River in Stevenson, WA, surrounded by trees and hilly peaks. There is no indoor building to get ready at, though they do have tents that are equipped with electricity, and it’s not far from hotels and Airbnbs, small towns for your guests to stay at, as well as Portland itself.
This is a beautiful lodge in beautiful surroundings. One of the best things about the Gorge is that it’s relatively close to all sorts of beauty a scenery, and it’s incredibly accessible to Portland and other cute towns along the Gorge.
In Corbet Oregon, Bridal Veil Lake is such a cozy outdoor venue. Flowers, curated nooks (love me some nooks), and they have canoes you can take out onto the lake. Yup, CANOES!
Public lands and
state parks
There are endless secluded spots with breathtaking surroundings along the Columbia River Gorge that are public lands or State owned parks and are incredible for intimate weddings and elopements. Many of these locations don’t require you to obtain a permit to get married, though some do. Do a little research or get in touch, I’m happy to help you with it.
Oregon/Washington Coast
You can find this treasure on your way to the Oregon coast In North Plains, OR. It’s dreamy and romantic, there are several spots you can choose from that are very private, lush trees and drapey moss make up the atmosphere that add to natural décor and show off the beauty that Oregon is known for.
Cape Disappointment

Tucked away at the base of the Long Beach Peninsula in SW Washington, Cape Disappointment is a fairly private beach with a gorgeous mix of ocean waves, trees, fields, cliffs, and privacy. You do have to obtain a permit to get married here, there also may now be sizing limitations, and each vehicle will need to obtain a Discovery Pass.

Tillamook
There’s beauty in degradation. the Ruins is located in Astoria, OR and has the coolest vibes! It used to be the Hotel Astoria; after a fire and then going through restoration, it was preserved as a landmark containing a big part of the history of Astoria. A great option if you’re wanting to be close to the water, but want a primarily indoor setting.
Definitely best to go during the week, Indian Beach is in Ecola State Park by Cannon Beach, OR. It is a straight up fairyland and gives you everything you’d want in a dreamy, beach wedding (cliffs, sand, overlooks, trees)
This is actually where I chose to get married! We went to Cape Kiwanda for their dramatic cliffs, grass sandy dunes, and overall romantic vibes that envelope you.
You really can’t go wrong anywhere on the coastline, but Tillamook is special. The town of Tillamook is darling, and the beach is vast.
Washington
This Scandinavian family owned venue is wonderful! They have cabins that you and your guests can stay in, lots of trees everywhere, two locations you can choose to get married at (pictured). You guests can stay in the cabins, the space is utilized well as there are bunks beds, you’ll feel like nostalgic with your closest people feeling like you’re living your best summer camp life!
Rattlesnake Ridge
This spot does tend to be a destination in northern Washington, so I would recommend planning your day during the week and even then, be prepared to run into folks on the trail and the peak. It's a pretty easy hike, though if you're not wanting to strap on hiking boots, the lake at the base of the trail is beautiful!
Close to Bend, OR, this lodge was inspired by Wes Anderson and is themed as such. IT'S AMAZING!!

You can find this charming venues, fully equipped with the cutest cabins and tallest pines in Sisters, OR. It’s out of the way, feels secluded, but it close to the darling city of Sisters, OR.
If you want to feel nestled by trees and streaming sunlight, this is your spot.
